Prof. Gerhard Fettweis builds bridges between science and industry, actively promotes start-ups from the universitary environment, and is a role model for entrepreneurial commitment at German universities. Together with his team, he has co-founded around 20 start-ups in the fields of semiconductors, mobile communications, big data, and IoT platforms. In 2023, his commitment to transferring scientific innovations into industry was recognized with the UNIPRENEURS award. Gerhard Fettweis is committed to strengthening entrepreneurial spirit at the university, promoting students’ belief in their own ideas, and driving technology transfer through targeted spin-offs.
